Higher Kennegy - 27/4/04
John Trewartha has been asked by the farmer at the above site to contact all Kernow members and ask them to stop flying at this site. We think he would like an official visit from a club representative, to assure him that we wont land in any of his fields with crops in. Upto now he has been very friendly and happy with our unofficial flying there in small numbers. Now its becomming more popular and the fact we've had the odd suspect landing, it would probably be a good idea to make this an official club site, with some liason with the land owner.
Flushing - 13/5/04
There is to be NO FlYING at Flushing site until further notice as the new farmer there has complained about paragliders using his land for taking off and landing, so until we can get an official KHPA arrangement sorted out with him, please do not fly there. I will email Peter Crockford and ask him to approach the farmer regarding this as it's his local site. As soon as we know the outcome of all the situations for these sites it will be posted here and emailed to the KHPA Smartgroup members.
Oludeniz Trip - 17/5/05
There will be no updates to this page for 2 weeks from the 17/5/05 as 16 of us from Kernow, including me, are going for some SIV fun in Turkey. See you all at the next Club Meet in June hopefully, fly safely! - Steve Edwards - Webhead
Devon Sites - 14/5/05
Flying restrictions in West Okement valley, 1st March - 15th July
In October Robin had received a letter from the Dartmoor National Park Authority asking us not to fly the Sourton / East Mill Tor / Corn Ridge (Branscome Loaf) area from March to July. This request was due to a program to try to encourage Ring Ouzel breeding in the area. After presenting our case to the Dartmoor National Park Robin has succeeded in getting agreement that we can continue to fly the sites without restriction during the breeding season except that we DO NOT FLY LOW OR LAND IN THE WEST OKEMENT VALLEY (E of Corn Ridge) DURING 1st MARCH - 15th JULY. (See attached letter & map).Go Here
Round of applause for Robin please (and buy him a pint when you see him!)
