MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER MEETING OF THE KERNOW HANG GLIDING & PARAGLIDING ASSOCIATION AT THE CLINTON SOCIAL CLUB ON 11TH NOVEMBER 2002

Pete in the chair welcomed members and 8 new or prospective members totaling 29 in all.

APOLOGIES. Roger green sent his apology for absence.

MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING were read approved and signed.

MATTERS ARISING.
Towing. No activity due to unsuitable weather.
Training. Graham reported only a little bit. Nigel flew his new Rio for the first time yesterday at Perran putting in two successful soaring flights with top landings. Kathy flew at the time.
Steve’s Seat. Graham P reported no progress and says he feels he has taken the matter as far as he can. It was agreed we should make an application to Carrick DC in writing and also consider an alternative site at Chapel Porth.
Vault Bay Site. Following the reports of a non BHPA person making dual PG flights from the site and parking in the field it was decided we make an announcement in Skywings about this matter and our sites in general. It was also suggested and agreed that we should seek an arrangement with the Farmer for suitable signs to be placed on the gates. 
Carbis Bay Site. Roger F now has a contact with the new owner and is seeking a meeting. It was agreed that we leave the negotiations in Roger’s hands and that he would need to refer back to the Association only if extra expense arises.
Brewery Visit. Patrick said the earliest available date is 10th Jan. This clashes with Pete’s ski trip so it was left for Patrick to arrange the first suitable alternative date. The party must at least 15 persons with a maximum of 30 and the charge will be £2 per cap. Names to Patrick please.

Mark Woodhams said he has PG movies on his laptop which will be available for members to view after the meeting.
Mark Presland wanted his flight from Perran to Treliske entered for the XC league.
50 CLUB DRAW was made for this month and last month

And that ended what must be the shortest KHGA/KHPA monthly meeting in living memory at 21.09.
