Site Description: A scenic cliff site with minimal bottom landing and only at very low tide.
Altitude: 260 feet Height Top to Bottom: N/A
How to get there: Approaching St. Agnes from the A30 turn left at the mini roundabout. Continue straight on along the narrow winding road. The “main” road bears left where Chapel Porth Beach is sign posted. Keep on the “main” road. Look for the car park entrance on the left. It is easily missed so drive slowly. 
Vehicle Access & Parking: Park in the National Trust car park and place the required fee in the box.
Rules and Restrictions: Keep to the well defined paths to avoid further errosion. No more than eight rigged hang gliders to be on the site at any one time.
Rigging Notes: A level carry from the car park to rigging area, apply common sense and consideration for others.

Marshalling: Use common sense and consideration for others.

Launch Notes: Start far enough forward to ensure the smoothest air and keep clear of the ruined mine buildings below which cause turbulence.

Top Landing Notes: Land inland behind the rigging area. Keep clear of turbulence from the mine building ruins to the right and the sloping ground to the left.

Bottom Landing Notes: Minimal bottom landing available only at very low tide. This is not a top to bottom site.

Hazards: As associated with a site with no bottom landing. At the north end of the cliff radio controlled gliders are often flown.

Restricted Areas

Airspace: This site is in a Military Low Flying Area. Be aware of Perranporth Airfield and it’s ATZ. If you are likely to fly inland clear your flying with the airfield on 01872 55 22 66

XC Tips: With 400 feet ato the cove at Chapel Porth can be crossed with soarable cliffs continuing south to Porthtowan
 
Met Services: Dialmet is available for RAF St. Mawgan and RNAS Culdrose.
