Site Description: A cliff site with ABSOLUTELY NO BOTTOM LANDING.
Altitude: 300 feet  Height Top to Bottom: N/A
How to get there: Approaching St. Agnes from the A30 turn left at the mini roundabout. Continue straight on along the narrow winding road. The “main” road bears left where Chapel Porth Beach is sign posted. Keep on the “main” road. Turn left down a lane toward the sea. There is a height barrier which may be a problem for vans with roof loads. At the T junction turn right into a parking area.
Vehicle Access & Parking: There is an obvious parking area. Please leave room for cars to enter and exit.
Rules and Restrictions: If unfamiliar with the site seek advice from local pilots before flying. 100 yards East of launch is the edge of the ATZ for Perranporth Airfield. Clear flying with the airfield be fore flying. 01872 55 22 66. The site is much used by radio controlled model glider fliers. Liaise with the modellers.
Rigging Notes: It is a very short carry from the car park to the rigging area.

Marshalling: Use common sense and consideration for others.

Launch Notes: Be 120% certain of lift before launching. If in doubt - don’t.

Top Landing Notes: Land in the huge area behind and to the west of launch. Land well back. Do not overshoot.

Bottom Landing Notes: Not at all applicable, sea - never any beach!

Hazards: The obvious hazard of flying a site with absolutely no bottom landing and flying with radio controlled aeromodellers. The radio hut west of launch is used by radio hams who have a CAA license to fly a kite aerial up to 600 feet.

Restricted Areas: Be aware Perranporth Airfield ATZ.

Airspace: This site is in a Military Low Flying Area. Perranporth Airfield ATZ is 100 yards east of launch. Clear your flying with the airfield before flying on 01872 55 22 66.

XC Tips: Look out for the RNAS Culdrose MATZ and ATZ downwind.
 
Met Services: Dialmet is available for RAF St. Mawgan and RNAS Culdrose.
